Attention, this reptile is prone to biting! But don’t worry, when it pumps its venom into your veins, you will feel delighted rather than paralyzed. Called a “Whisky from the Old School” by its distributor, the Black Snake – First Venom is a natural cask strength bottling that any sherry fan will instantly fall in love with. As its name suggests, it did not spend too many years in the hand-selected PX Sherry cask chosen for its maturation. But in this particular case, the rather young age is an absolute blessing. The Black Snake – First Venom is not only brash in color, but also robust, feisty and striking in taste. While this particular edition has been released exclusively on the German market, I am sure that the Dutch and international bottlings of the Black Snake – First Venom are equally as good!

Eye: Reddish-golden.
Nose: Distinct, strong and spicy with notes of cranberry, pepper, soy and grape.
Palate: This well-crafted malt proudly bears the hallmarks of the PX Sherry cask it was matured in. It shows a richness of facetes, being youthful and punchy on the one hand as well as mouth-filling and complex on the other.
Finish: Now the venom kicks in! A stout mix of red fruits, well-seasoned nuts and crème brûlée puts every fibre of your body on fire!

Cheers, for the info. I changed it in the text. I got a little confused since the text on the back of the box also spoke of the whisky as a vatting.
