New Limited Editions by Jura, Kilchoman and Glenfiddich (News)

New Limited Editions by Jura, Kilchoman and Glenfiddich (Single Malt Scotch Whisky Islay Speyside)

Recently, three popular Scotch whisky brands announced new limited editions, namely Jura, Kilchoman and Glenfiddich. While the first two have already revealed concrete details about their imminent special bottlings, the latter still leave us in the dark about what goodie they have up their sleeves for us. One way or another, we are really excited about all three of these promising pours and hope that they will find their way into our glasses rather sooner than later.

Jura One And All
(Single Malt • Islands • 20yo • 51% • Limited to 5,000 bottles • 120 GBP)

Twenty years of age and neither food-colored nor chill-filtered, Jura’s One And All is dedicated to the close-knit community on the isle of Jura and the unique bond they have with its world-famous distillery. Described as an “uncommon single malt”, this top-quality whisky is said to be “a true product of its environment” which is golden to the eye, fruity and spicy in the nose and chocolaty and syrupy on the palate. The new One And All is already up for sale in Jura’s webshop!

Kilchoman 2009 Vintage
(Single Malt • Islay • 8yo • 46% • Small batch release • 67.50 GBP)

Three days from now on September 4, the latest Vintage release from Islay’s farm distillery Kilchoman will go on sale worldwide. Clocking in at an impressive 50ppm, this eigh-year-old Limited Edition will surely pack a good dose o’ peat! But there is more: For the first time ever in this history of Kilchoman’s Vintage bottlings, the 2009 edition has not fully matured in bourbon barrels. In addition to spirit kept in ex-American oak, the vatting also contains whisky extracted from three hand-selected Oloroso sherry casks that added “additional layers of rich cooked fruits to balance with the lighter citrus and vanilla of the bourbon barrels”.

Glenfiddich Experiment #03
(no information available yet)

At this point, Glendfiddich’s next Limited Edition is still a mystery. All we know is that it will launch soon and that it will continue their Experiment range, whose kick-off expressions IPA Experiment and Project XX created quite a buzz in September of last year. Given the high quality and fun ideas behind the best-selling Speyside distillery’s first two experimental whiskies, we strongly recommend you to keep your eyes open for more info on Glenfiddich’s Experiment #03 later on this month!
