Exactly one month from now, on June 14, whiskey folks across the pond celebrate National Bourbon Day. Of course, us drammers on the old continent are more than happy to chime in from afar and drink a glass of top-notch American whiskey on that day as well. While I am sure that many of you have at least a few good bourbons in their whiskey shelves, I would like to bring an additional bottle into circulation and treat one of you to a special pour on National Bourbon Day. Thus, I have teamed up with my friends in Bremer Spirituosen Contor to raffle a hand-numbered bottle of Bib & Tucker Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey (#101/193) among all readers of this wee blog o’ mine. The contest runs from today till the end of the week. Tf nothing comes in between, the winner will be picked at random on May 21 and announced on my Facebook page the same day. I will then dispatch the bottle as soon as I have gotten the winner’s address. That way, it will hopefully arrive in time for National Bourbon Day – even if it has to be sent to overseas. Bib & Tucker Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey

Limited to a mere 193 bottles, this 7-year-old bourbon whiskey was distilled in Tennessee and bottled by 3 Badge Beverage with a powerful ABV of almost 128 proof. Yes, that’s close to 64 per cent! The well matured spirit is said to be brimming with spices, leather, oak, vanilla and caramel. As I have, of course, not opened the bottle (though I felt tempted at times), I have not yet gotten to try this strictly limited high strength release myself. But I had Bib & Tucker’s standard bottling before and found it to be really, really great. So I am sure this one will rock as well!
