Sometimes you don’t have to stand very tall,
To be the strongest and greatest of all,
If your heart is good and your soul is pure,
The size of your frame’s not important, for sure.
Take this little field mouse – it’s small and it’s wee,
But there’s more to it than the eye can see.
With an alcohol content close to fifty-five.
It’s bold and brash and brimming with life!
To get there, however, it took quite some time,
For twelve long years in oak t’was enshrined.
It patiently rested with calm and with grace,
Carefully sheltered from the outer world’s haste.
In the nose and the mouth and also the throat,
The Beastie 12 hits all the right notes.
So close your eyes and indulge in its story,
Of prized and treasured Highland glory.

Eye: A precious, shimmering, golden hue,
Like a sunray caught in the morning dew.
Nose: Vanilla, oak, and a hint of spice.
Lots of garden fruits – how nice!
Palate: Now I get apricots, cereals and honey,
Also hot cocoa to warm up my tummy.
Finish: Beware! The mouse hauls out the big guns!
His finish is sweet, strong, spicy and fun!

Perfectly times review for Burns Night!
I’m not sure about the Timorous Beastie branding does their whiskies justice… it feel a bit ‘novelty’ like Old Fart Wine or something.

Cheers! This was the third time in a row that I posted a Timorous Beastie review in poem form on Burn Night. Writing ’em is always great fun! As for the Timorous Beastie brand, I absolutely love it! It’s by far my favorite whisky brand out there and I was already a fan before I bought my first bottle and tried my first sip. So at least for me, it works perfectly.
