Today, Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible revealed their World Whisky of the Year 2017. This year, the winner of the distinct honor is the Booker’s Rye Limited Edition by Beam Suntory, which originally hit retail shelves in May 2016 for an introductory price of ~300 USD. The 13-years-old premium rye follows in the footsteps of the Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye (2016) and the Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013 (2015). For the third year in a row, the renowned accolade has not been awarded to a Scottish whisky.
