Exactly one week ago, Tobi introduced you to the three “exotic” releases of North Star Spirits’ recently released series 002, namely a blend, a bourbon and a sherry. This week we got our hands on a trio of their new single cask Scotch whiskies. (more…)
Pernod Ricard Tasting with The Glenlivet, Aberlour & Longmorn at Christiansen’s (Event)
Although I had enjoyed drams at Christiansen’s before, I never got to attend one of the many tastings they host in their premises throughout the year. So when I read on Facebook that the bar would stage a Pernod Ricard masterclass with renowned spirits consultant Jürgen Deibel (more…)
Ireland Tasting at Cadenhead’s Whisky Market (Event)
Ever since I attended a Cadenhead masterclass at this year’s edition of Kiel Whisky Fair, I have been looking forward to my next trip to Berlin – the location of one of the two stores that Scotland’s oldest independent bottler operates in Germany. (more…)
Strathclyde Grain Distillery in Glasgow (Visit)
With its puffing chimneys, entangled pipelines, enormous tanks and squarish buildings, Strathclyde Distillery looks nothing like the picturesque whisky production sites you often find perpetuated on the front sides or postcards or the pages of illustrated books. (more…)
Wolfburn: “How Thurso’s Finest took the Whisky World by Storm” (Interview)
