Kilchoman to release its first, strictly limited 10yo (News)

Kilchoman 10yo - Fifth Club Release (Barley Mania Whisky Scotch Single Malt Cask Strength Islay Limited Edition)

If you read our review for the Machir Bay – Tour Edition 2015, you should know that Kilchoman are one of our favorite distilleries here on BarleyMania. Needless to say, the excitement was big when we heard of the impending release of your first 10 years old. A vatting of a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt and a fresh bourbon barrel, the Fifth Edition of their Club Release was matured for a full decade and bottled at cask strength with 57 per cent.

According to the distillery’s newsletter, “the powerful rich fruits from the sherry cask and the beautiful vanilla and citrus from the bourbon wood have combined with the Kilchoman spirit over the past ten years to produce something pretty special”. Limited to 920 bottles, the Club Release – Fifth Edition will be sold exclusively to club members on Monday, November 14 at 1pm GMT, for the retail price of GBP 109.50. To give a maximum number of Scotch lovers the chance to enjoy this rare dram, Kilchoman will only sell one bottle per person.

To make sure you will not miss any such releases in the future, set up a free club member account at the Kilchoman website (linked below). Once the sale is active, sign in to the Kilchoman club in the top right-hand side of the website, go to the “Whisky Shop” and then to “Club Releases”. There, you will see the new Club Release available.
