When nine Danish friends decided to found their country’s first whisky distillery in 2005, they gave it their everything. Besides their savings, they also put their blood, sweat, tears and time into the project. And – most importantly – their heart. Luckily for them and us, the effort paid off. (more…)

The Macallan Amber (Review)
This one is kind of a guilty pleasure for me. When it was released in 2013 as part of The Macallan’s color-focused 1824 Series, it got quite a bit of flak. Back then, many drammers were not happy with the fact that the NAS expression Amber and its ageless siblings (more…)

Highland Park 12yo Single Cask for Arlanda Airport (Review)
When it was initially released in 2018, this single cask release by Highland Park was excludively available at Arlanda Airport in Stockholm, Sweden. Over time, however, some bottles also ended up in other parts of the world. I bought mine at EDF Duty Free Paradise (more…)
Scallywag 10yo – Speyside Blended Malt Whisky (Review)

3 Joint Bottlings by DeinWhisky.de and Mancarella Whisky – 18yo, 26yo and 35yo (Review Flight)

Keep it slow, keep it easy, keep it unagitated. In the fast-moving times we are living in, it is sometimes wiser to shift a gear down rather than up. Leisure and relaxation are invaluable goods to which we should all treat ourselves from time to time. Douglas Laing know this very well. (more…)
Whisky Tasting at Helgoheiner’s – June 2020 (Tasting)
Finally! A real tasting … again! Due to the coronavirus’ sudden interference, I had not attended any dramming events since mid-February. Thankfully, this lean period has come to an end now. While enjoying a short get-away on the island of Helgoland, I participated (more…)
2x Single Malt Whisky from Whic: Glenrothes 22yo & Ledaig 12yo (Review Flight)
I am always happy to fetch new samples from Whic.de out of my mailbox. After all, their bottlings are usually of top quality and great appeal – two attributes that also apply to their most recent whisky duo. It consists of a Glenrothes 22yo (proudly flying the “Amazing Whiskies” flag) (more…)
